As the President of SAS, I am in a unique position to bring a 30-year background in the film and television industry to this post-production enterprise. At this time, there are no other Northern Ontario companies doing the post-production support that SAS is doing and developing. It is our intent to create local jobs and expertise in support of the film and television industry, which will eliminate the need to source post-production services from outside of Northern Ontario.
SAS provides gear, support, and trained personnel all over the Northern Ontario film landscape. Our up-to-date equipment will allow producers to choose which point of engagement will suit their needs, to allow them to continue spending in Northern Ontario in order to maximize the benefits that come from locating their productions in the area.
We are available on-set to become part of the workflow the moment the digital file leaves the camera, and our services are available up to and including final delivery.
Our post-production work is clearly positioned on the picture and editing stages, and we can work with other entities such as Canadore College, using their state of the art sound and colour correction suites.
